Our super stave wood worktops use 40mm staves to create a high-end look that showcases unusual grain patterns or delivers a seamless effect that suits both classic and contemporary kitchens.
Imagine a sheet of finest quality iroko or the gorgeous grain patterns of rustic oak extending flawlessly across your kitchen work surfaces. Our wide stave wooden worktops showcase the timeless beauty of wood, while creating a durable surface that lasts a lifetime.
We source our worktops from well-managed, certified forests, so you can buy with peace of mind that your worktop and our manufacturing processes respect the environment. The result? An outstanding kitchen upgrade that enhances your home for years to come.
The most obvious difference between standard and super stave wooden worktops is in the construction process. Standard ‘butcher’s block’ style worktops typically use shorter staves that are staggered when joined, creating the familiar finish.
By contrast, wide stave wooden worktops utilise planks that run the length of your worktop, creating a luxurious finish. It’s a sought-after premium look that elevates any kitchen from a compact galley to a spacious U-shaped layout.
Super stave wooden worktops offer key aesthetic features that will elevate your kitchen remodel:
Super stave wooden worktops are endlessly versatile, pairing with contemporary kitchens as easily as traditional country kitchens. Our finest quality wenge worktops bring the organic warmth of wood to a minimalist space, keeping the look chic and uncluttered. For a traditional kitchen, nothing compares to the prominent grain and enduring beauty of prime or rustic super stave oak worktops.
For most of us, wood worktops are all about the warmth and charm of the material, whether that’s pale ash with its elongated grain or walnut with its rich, characterful appeal.
Super stave wooden worktops are the premium way to showcase dramatic grain patterns, allowing them to sweep uninterrupted across the entire work surface. They also highlight other idiosyncrasies such as knots and burls, giving your worktop huge visual appeal.
If you want the seamless appeal of granite or marble but with the natural appeal of wood, premium stave oak worktops create the clean, cohesive look you crave. What’s more, super stave worktop prices make it affordable to achieve that high-end look.
Our high-quality super stave worktops bring a sense of craftsmanship and tactile warmth to any kitchen, creating an elegant makeover that suits your aesthetic.

Custom cutouts for sinks and hobs create an effortlessly streamlined look. With our custom cutting service, your worktops, kitchen islands, and breakfast bars fit perfectly, and we can also cut drainage grooves and tap holes to your specification for a bespoke look.
The easiest way to personalise your worktops is with a custom edge profile. Square-edged worktops suit the clean lines of a contemporary kitchen, while chamfered edges are a family-friendly choice that adds softness to the overall look. We can add edging to the desired profile, creating a unique look for your worktops.
Super stave wooden worktops should be installed professionally for optimum results, which is why we offer our template and installation service. This includes two home visits: first, our surveyor will discuss your specific requirements and customisations before creating a template, then our experienced team of fitters will install your worktops, ensuring everything lines up perfectly for a polished finish.
Here’s what you need to know about the installation process:
If you need to store your super stave wood worktops at home before installation, let them acclimatise in the kitchen for a few days to help minimise warping. Always store your wooden worktops flat, raise them off the floor, and use spacers between them to prevent pressure marks. Never cover them with plastic, istead use a dust sheet so the wood can breathe.
Your installers should handle the finishing steps, but applying oil is important for proper maintenance. Osmo oil is preferred for optimal protection, and cut ends and functional cutouts require several coats. The result? A beautiful, functional and above all durable finish for your super stave worktops.
To keep your new worktops in pristine condition, we recommend a holistic care routine: protect against spills and heat daily, then oil regularly for long-lasting protection. Here are our top tips on maintaining your new worktops:

Super stave wood worktops bring a premium look to any kitchen. Unlike butcher’s block worktops, which are made of shorter lengths of wood joined together, our super stave worktops use planks 160-250 mm long for a seamless look. Our expert craftsmen then join the planks, creating minimal joins and a luxurious, seamless look that allows a dramatic grain pattern to shine.
Because of their weight and size, super stave wooden worktops should be treated differently from standard worktops. We always recommend professional worktop installation for best results, especially if your worktop has cutouts for your sink or hob that need expert handling for precision. Once installed, take care to oil them regularly for durability and aesthetics.
All wood worktops are an investment in your kitchen’s beauty and durability. When you’re looking to buy super stave wooden worktops, there are some additional factors to consider, such as complex construction, wood type and larger sections. Ultimately, the higher price point is worth it if you want to add a unique look and style to your space for years to come.
